The Atatürk Society of America (ASA)


The Atatürk Society of America (ASA) is an independent non-profit organization founded 1995 in Washington DC, with the objective of promoting the ideals of Atatürk’s political legacy.

Towards this objective the ASA organizes scholarly lectures, provides research fellowships, develops a resource and reference center, and makes presentations regarding the importance of Atatürk’s political philosophy for international prosperity and peace.





Turkish Festival


The festival was started by a small community group called the Turkish American Recreational and Cultural Organization (TURCO), in 2003. The first event took place in Cabin John Park in Maryland and attracted close to a thousand people. In 2004, the Festival was relocated to the Freedom Plaza in DC and became an instant success, attracting thousands of people, a testament to the community’s deep interest in Turkish culture and history.





TURKISH CUISINE


The Turkish Cultural Foundation promotes and preserves Turkish culture and heritage worldwide, and places special emphasis on education for disadvantaged students in Turkey and abroad. Created in 2000, the Foundation seeks to help build cultural bridges between Turkey and other countries in order to support a better understanding and appreciation of Turkish cultural heritage.

Turkish culture reflects this unparalleled cultural richness and diversity, and remains mostly shaped by its deep roots in Middle East, Anatolia and Balkans, the cradle of many civilizations for at least twelve thousand years.

The Turkish Cultural Foundation was established in 2000 with the mission to support the preservation and promotion of Turkish culture and heritage worldwidethrough original programs and cooperation with like minded organizations.

The Foundation is a US tax-exempt public charitable organization supported entirely by private donations, with offices in Boston, Washington, DC and Istanbul.

The Foundation is a US tax-exempt public charitable organization supported entirely by private donations, with offices in Boston, Istanbul and Washington DC.

In 2015, TCF was accepted to establish official relations with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO.
